Shade Guide
The shade that disappears into you isn't the one that matches your hair — it's the one that flatters your skin. Here's how to find it in honest light.

Why natural light matters
Indoor light lies. Warm bathroom bulbs add yellow; office light adds blue. The only honest read of a shade is at a north-facing window, mid-morning, with the light on your face.
Find your undertone
Look at the inside of your wrist in natural light. Cool undertones — pink cheeks, bluish veins — sit well with ash and cool browns. Warm undertones — peach, green veins — glow in honey and copper. Neutral? You move between both.
Black, brown, blonde — and dimension
Espresso and Noir read natural on deep skin. Truffle and Chestnut flatter medium tones. Honey Bronde and Pearl Blonde lighten beautifully. For dimension, a highlight one shade lighter than your base reads sun-kissed — never striped.
Root color and your skin
The shade at your hairline frames your face. Match the piece to the depth you want framing your complexion — usually one shade warmer than you'd guess.
