The Tresslo Care Ritual
Think of care as a rhythm, not a chore. A few small habits — done consistently — keep the fiber, the lace, and the cap alive for years. The ritual has six moves; you'll meet each in depth across the Ritual & Care section.
Wash (rarely, gently)
Cool water, sulfate-free shampoo, every 8–10 wears — not daily. Rough washing ages the lace faster than anything else. When in doubt, refresh instead of wash.
Soften
A lightweight oil or leave-in through the mid-lengths and ends keeps the fiber soft and moving like real hair. Avoid the cap and the lace.
Travel
On a stand inside a satin-lined case, never crammed in a bag. A collapsed cap and a creased lace are the two things that don't recover on a trip.
Touch up between washes
A two-minute refresh — light mist, detangle bottom-up, a few drops of oil — buys you several more wears and pushes wash day further out.
Protect the lace
The lace is the most fragile part of the piece. No tugging, no sleeping in it, tint with care. It yellows and thins long before the hair gives up.
Store beautifully
On a stand, out of sun, detangled before it goes away. How you store the piece when it's off is half of how long it lasts when it's on.
